Default accessing cPanel before DNS change

it may just be too early for me, but I can't figure out how to access the cPanel of an account before the DNS change. I just want to get all the e-mail setup properly before doing the swap.

I've tried http://64.38.45.202/~username/cpanel which yields a 404.

any ideas on if this can be done?

Also, how do I go about setting up the DNS server names to be my reseller domain?

regards,
Mike

To access cpanel, remove the username part. So the url would be http://64.38.45.202/cpanel

Type in each username/password for each site.

If you're talking about nameservers, you have to create the nameservers wherever you registered the domain and add the ip addresses you got in the welcome email to each nameserver.

Thanks Lee. that finally dawned on me about the cPanel thing - d'oh!

For the name servers, I'm trying to setup ns1 and ns2 .mydomain.com instead of using ns17 and ns18 .myserverhosts.com.

This is probably just more brain fog that I can't see through. It's been real foggy lately, lol.

regards,
Mike
