Dissapointment in Support

Hi all,

Today, I'm cancelling my hosting account. I joined their hosting services since may, less than 6 months, sigh.

I had problems with my domain since september, and after numerous emails, chats (some last till 2 hours), unanswered tickets (as long as 1 whole week without reply), impolite response asking me to stop responding to ticket, it finally is the last straw.

I submited a ticket to cancel my acount, and the response I got was, "We are sorry to hear that you would like to cancel your account with us, if you could give us the ticket ID off your other open ticket we can certainly look into any issue you are having. If you would still like to cancel your account with us you can do so at http://hostnine.com/cancel/".

Obviously I responded, hoping that support will assist me with the problem, then maybe I'll stay on... but... no reply for 2 days now. My last ticket, has been unanswered since 9 days ago.

On top of that, I've been having rather frequent website down cases, intermittent connection loss, 5-10 mins each time. Lately, server has been having lots of problems, mysql gone missing, server high load, etc. When checked, the current shared server is hosting >140 clients at one go... which in my humble opinion is very high compared to many other hosting companies i know.

I've moved to my new hosting company, and the same problems I'm having with hostnine, does not occur with new hosting company.

Goodbye & good luck to you all with hostnine.

Hi,

Thanks for your honest comments, we will continue to strive for improvement. I strongly urge anyone else who is having issues to NOT use the billing department email to communicate. These issues are not handled with the same urgency and repsonse time as tech support tickets.

Personally, I have moved off shared hosting altogether now. I now use VPS'es for most of my needs; For $9.99 a month you can get a low spec VPS, and then install a control panel like LXAdmin (i've put instructions on their forums how to install it) or Webmin.

Sorry guys, this is not the place to discuss other hosting companies. That's complete disrespect to a company regardless how you feel.
